CAROL J. CASTANEDA
President and Founder

Carol J. Castaneda brings 15+ years of experience in media and public relations to Castaneda Global Communications CGC Inc.

Castaneda has an impressive portfolio in the communications field, working with technology and security companies, federal IT contractors and organizations to raise their public profile and create financial and growth opportunities for them – from contract wins to new funding.

Before launching her public relations/media company, Castaneda was a national reporter for USA Today, where she covered fast-breaking news stories all over the United States. Her senior experience in crisis reporting has helped her clients successfully overcome their own unexpected crisis events.

Castaneda has a distinguished background in journalism, having worked at such venerable publications as USA Today, San Diego Union, Salem Statesman-Journal (OR) and Fresno Bee (CA). She brings to her clients an understanding of the media that can come only from her firsthand experience as a working reporter. And that expertise pays off for them time and again.

As a result, her successful media campaigns have led to millions of people worldwide learning about her clients and building a positive image of them.

Castaneda's clients have been featured in the Washington Post, Washington Technology, Federal Times, Defense News, USA Today, Government Computer News (GCN), Government Security News, CNN Financial News, Los Angeles Times, Federal Computer Week, PotomacTechWire, Washington Business Journal and Forbes magazine, among others.

Before starting her own company, Castaneda was a vice president at Weber McGinn communications in Arlington, VA (now Golin/Harris International).
